This car has been referred to universally by the automotive press as the “Best Willys Ever Built". Tom’s ownership ended when the Willys sold at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in January 2002. The car was sold again in 2004 & 2012 for a world record price each time of which is still unequalled by any other Willys to pass through this or any other prestigious auction. It even ended up in Ron Pratte's collection at one time. Once again (in 2016) it went through the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction. This time it didn't break any world sales records. However, it did fetch the highest amount paid for a Willys in the show.
